Federal Modified Accelerated Cost-Recovery System (MACRS)

Under the federal Modified Cost Recovery System (MACRS), businesses may recover investments in certain property through depreciation deductions. The MACRS establishes a set of class lives for various types of property over which property may be depreciated. For PV systems, the taxable basis of the equipment must be reduced by 50% of any federal tax credit associated with the system.

California 10-year straight line Depreciation

The straight line method divides the cost or tax basis, into equal amounts over the estimated useful life of the property. Per California Franchise Tax Board, Form 3885, state MACRS depreciation is not allowed for Corporations, except to the extent such depreciation is passed through from partnership or LLC classified as a partnership.

Solar System, Inc. Warranties and Guarantees:

Workmanship and Inverter Guarantee: 10 years
Covering any damages caused by the installation or poor performance related to the Solectria Inverter.

System Performance Warranty: 20 years
If the system production is not performing to specified manufacturer performance, an inspection will be scheduled at no cost.

Panel Warranty: 25 years
The Mitsubishi panels performance is covered to match the manufacturer efficiency specs.

System Maintenance
General maintenance is a simple brushing/rinsing dust and debris buildup of panel surfaces twice a year.
